All of the groups & organisations below are always looking for more volunteers. Whether you're new to Shannon, recently retired, or just looking to have a postive impact in your community - this is the place to get involved!

Fáilte Isteach English Classes
Fáilte Isteach is a Third Age community project with older volunteers welcoming new migrants through conversational English classes.
Illaunmanagh parkrun
A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it's up to you!
Every Saturday at 9:30am. Starting point is at the beginning of the Loop Walk near the Crematorium.
Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind Clare Branch
A fundraising & awareness building branch of Irish Guide Dogs, run entirely by
volunteers. We do church gate collections, summer & Christmas fairs, coffee
mornings, raffles and other fundraising events. Changing lives.
Shannon Athletic Club
Athletic sports for people from the area of Shannon, Co. Clare. Affiliated with Athletics Ireland.
All our coaches and staff is Garda-vetted. We follow all national guidelines for Children's Sports.
Shannon Fire Brigade
Shannon Fire Brigade attend approximately 170 calls per annum. These calls consist of chimney fires, house fires, road traffic accidents, flooding, special services, etc.
Shannon Musical Society
Delivering Musical Theatre performances to the people of Shannon and the surrounding areas since 1979. Season runs from Sept-Feb each year.
Shannon Tidy Towns
A voluntary group keeping Shannon looking fabulous!
Shannon Town Community Wetlands
We are a community group dedicated to restoring and maintaining the wonderful wetlands of Shannon Town.
Shannon Town Sustainable Energy Community (SEC)
A group to promote the formation of an SEAI SEC in Shannon. We encourage efficient use of energy in Shannon Town. This will be achieved through engagement, education and awareness raising among individuals, organisations and companies in Shannon.

Local Junior Soccer club. Catering for boys & girls from U4s up to adults .
