Siobhán, a Certified Public Accountant, transitioned to the locally run family business before moving into other varied professional roles at both local & international levels. In addition to sitting on Boards of Directors, she has held managerial roles in Finance, HR, Operations & Customer Service.

Derek has been living in Shannon since 1976. He is now retired after working for 25 years in SPS International & 16 years in Penn Engineering Galway. He is Chairperson of Shannon Tidy Towns & Secretary for Shannon Men's Shed. His passion for our town is boundless and is valued greatly in many of Shannon's Groups.

Governance & Compliance Officer

A proud Shannon native since the late 1960s, Don has been deeply embedded in the town’s social and cultural fabric throughout his life. With a wealth of experience across multiple sectors, he now operates as a self-employed IT specialist, focusing on Trade & Compliance and the Social Care sector.

Sue is a Lecturer at the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS, formerly LIT), where she is the programme co-ordinator for the BA (Hons) in Interior Design, having built the programme over the last five years.

Geraldine Lambert

A Shannon resident for over 50 years, Geraldine has witnessed the town's evolution first-hand. She is a former member of the Shannon Town Commissioners, which later became the Shannon Town Council and has a wealth of experience to draw on as a member of many boards over the years.

Sam Stephen

Sam Stephen

Website & IT Manager

Originally from Sixmilebridge, Sam has lived in Shannon since he was 16. He has a BA in Psychology & Maths and a Graduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence. Professionally, he has worked in GECAS (later AerCap) for over six years in various roles and is a regular volunteer with Illaunmanagh parkrun & Community Games.

Secretary, Funding Officer & Social Media Manager

A born & raised resident of Shannon, Joanne is on the board of management for Shannon Family Resource Centre and also secretary & co-founder of Mná Le Chéile, Shannon Women’s Shed.

Denise O'Brien

Public Relations Officer

A Shannon native and passionate advocate for her hometown’s future, Denise draws on over 25 years of organisational leadership experience. Born and raised in the town, she founded O’Brien Learning Solutions in 2016, a business which specialises in change management & executive coaching.
