Shannon Chess Club

The club was started around the Junior Coaching, which is run out of Shannon Library on Thursdays, where we regularly get 35-40 kids attending to play games and learn new tactics and techniques. 

We have also recently tried to start an adult night for people interested in casual or competitive chess, which has been running since the summer. We're a small group currently, but very gowing steadily through word of mouth since we started.

We meet up most Tuesdays in the Goalpost bar from 8:30-10:30pm.

To register for the Junior Chess Club, registration is required through Shannon Library as classes are currently at capacity.
