Saturday 28th February is Ireland Reads Day, and everyone is invited to get lost in a good book. It doesn’t matter what, where or how you read – just read. Reading helps you relax, lowers your heart rate, eases muscle tension, improves your mental health and can reduce stress by up to 68%
Shannon Library is encouraging our youngest members to experience the joy of books and reading with a special Baby Book Club event on Saturday 28th February from 10am-12pm. There will be stories, songs, toys and games for babies and toddlers to enjoy and, for older children, LEGO free play, colouring and games.
Everyone is invited to drop into the library for as long or as short a time as you can, and lose yourself in an adventure, a thriller, a romance, a comedy or all of the above.
